Service of PayLife
The “prepaid” technology is already widely known from mobile phone charge cards. All of
PayLife’s prepaid products are technically linked to Maestro or MasterCard. Prepaid cards are not
connected to a bank giro account – they only have to be pre-charged with an individual credit
amount (= prepaid). After charging the card, one can pay and/or withdraw money within the charged
frame all over the world. An overdraw is not possible.
Rechargeable
Many prepaid products are rechargeable, which means that one doesn’t have to get a new card
once the previously charged amount has been spent. One can simply recharge the card with a new
individual credit amount. Recharging a prepaid card doesn’t require the physical presence of the
card – the card number is already enough. This is an ideal solution for providing your child with
pocket money for language course holidays for example.
Safer than cash
The amount charged on the prepaid card is NOT stored on the card but on an international
payment platform. If the product offers the feature of a replacement card, one can in case of theft
or loss continue spending the charged amount with a replacement card.
Overview on transactions and credit amount
You may always keep an overview about the transactions you made and the remaining credit
amount on the card over the phone or through the internet.
Where to use the prepaid cards?
Prepaid cards are becoming more and more popular since there is a multitude of ways one can
use them: gift cards, travel cheque replacements, charges refund, wage and salary payments, pocket
money card and much more.
